It is true that hypnotism has many advantages over the orthodox anaesthesia, but the question arises is will the drug corporations allow it to be properly reasearched and to become a replacement. It is a multi-billion dollar industry and has enormous clout in the medical community.
What is needed is that hypnotism is investigated by sincere and honest doctors and the governments look at its potential dispassionately. Seems like that is unlikely to happen. But they owe it to the suffering humanity.
